Author Dinner : Richard Negus & Patrick Galbraith

Book tickets here

This June we will be hosting our first Author Dinner. The dinner will feature a conversation between Richard Negus and Patrick Galbraith.

Both Richard and Patrick have recently written books about the British countryside, its preservation and the political pressures it faces. Patrick’s Uncommon Ground focusses on how we relate to the countryside and controversies surrounding public access, while Richard’s Words from the Hedge draws on his experience as a hedge layer, working on diverse farms across East Anglia, including managing the hedgerows at Wyken.

The evening will be accompanied by a 3 course dinner, with the principal ingredients coming from the bountiful hedges and woods of Wyken.

A wild menu from the land:

Hedgerow Cocktail Aperitif / Wyken Moonshine

Wyken Venison Carpaccio

Saddle & Confit Leg of Wyken Rabbit, Wyken Bacchus & Saffron Veloute & Kitchen Garden Greens

Elderflower Panna Cotta, Wyken Moonshine Jelly & Wyken Gooseberries

Please note: menu subject to change. Vegetarian options are available, please let us know of this or any allergies at the time of booking.

Tickets: £65

Your ticket includes the menu above.  Drinks on the night, plus service charge (12.5%) are payable separately on the evening.

Single tickets are available and will be placed at tables alongside other single bookings.
