The Leaping hare Restaurant and Cafe
Wyken Cafe boasts the same quality of food and service as our restaurant and serves breakfasts and lunches daily. Offering a slightly lighter option, it can provide the perfect accompaniment to a walk around our gardens.
Housed in a converted 14th century barn, the Leaping Hare restaurant, has been in the Good Food Guide for 20 consecutive years, as well as being a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide. We serve a blend of modern and traditional European dishes, made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

Planted in 1988 on a south facing slope that was the site of a Roman vineyard, our vines thrive on the sandy loam over chalk. Our latest vintage of Bacchus won ‘East Anglian Wine of the Year’.See Our Wines
We try to source all of our ingredients as locally as possible. The majority come from within a five mile radius: lamb and beef from neighbouring farms; venison, pheasant, partridge and other game from our own estate. We grow some of our vegtables and herbs in our kitchen garden, and source the rest from Phil, of Langham Herbs, who is in the Farmer’s Market each Saturday. We have a five star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
